청주교육지원청, 설 맞이 전통시장 장보기 행사 진행
코로나19로 어려움을 겪고 있는 전통시장에 활기

【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주교육지원청(교육장 김영미)은 27일 설 명절을 맞이하여 인근 두꺼비시장, 원마루시장, 사창시장에서 전통시장 장보기 행사를 가졌다.

 

이번 행사는 코로나19 지속에 따른 내수경기 침체와 유통환경의 변화로 큰 어려움을 겪고 있는 전통시장에 활기를 조금이나마 도움이 되고자 마련되었다.

 

교육장과 3국장을 중심으로 모든 부서(3국 11과 1센터)에서 최소인원 2~3명이 인근 두꺼비시장, 원마루시장, 사창시장을 5인 1조씩 나누어 사회적 거리두기 방역지침을 철저히 준수한 가운데 실시함으로써 공직자부터 전통시장에 대한 관심 제고와 이용 활성화를 위해 추진되었다. 

 

 

또한, 미래세대를 생각하는 친환경 소비문화 확산을 위한 ‘생활 속 1회용품 사용 줄이기’ 캠페인도 함께 펼쳐져 상인들과 시장 이용자들로부터 좋은 반응을 받았다. 

 

청주교육지원청은 생활 속 1회용품 줄이기 방안으로 종이컵 대신 개인컵 사용, 비닐봉투 대신 장바구니 사용, 1회용 플라스틱용기 사용하지 않기, 우산 비닐커버 사용하지 않기 등을 통해 지구를 살리는 아름다운 환경실천을 적극적으로 홍보하고 추진하고 있다.

 

한 시장 상인은 “시장 분위기가 썰렁했었는데, 공무원들이 직접 장바구니를 들고 시장에 나와서 물품을 사 주니까, 시장이 활기를 되찾은 것 같다” 며 고마움을 표현하였다.
