【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북도의회(의장 황영호)는 18일 청주 율량초등학교 4‧5‧6학년 학생들을 대상으로 도의회 본회의장에서 제101회 청소년 의회교실을 운영했다.

청소년 의회교실은 1일 도의원이 되어 본회의장에서 의장 선거, 안건처리, 2분 자유발언 등 의정활동을 하는 도의회 대표 학생 체험 프로그램이다.

율량초교 학생들은 무기명 투표를 통해 청소년 의장을 선출하고 ‘하교 이후 학교 운동장 사용 금지 조례안’과 ‘식생활관 이쑤시개 비치 건의안’, ‘각 학급에 옷걸이 비치 건의안’ 등 안건 3건을 심의‧의결했다. 

특히 김지호 학생은 ‘각 학급에 옷걸이 비치 건의안’에서 친구들이 옷에 걸려 넘어질 수 있는 위험성과 교실 청소 용이성 등을 내세우며 옷걸이 비치의 필요성을 적극 주장했다.  

학생들은 또 ‘학교 운동장에 쓰레기를 버리지 말아야 합니다’, ‘친구를 뒤에서 흉보지 말아야 합니다’를 주제로 2분 자유발언을 이어갔다.

행사에 참석한 김현문 의원(청주14)은 “의회교실을 통해 학생들이 의회민주주의를 이해하고, 함께 참여한 친구들과 우의를 다지는 계기가 되었길 바란다”고 격려했다.
