【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도보은교육지원청(교육장 이은진)은 19일 보은교육지원청 시청각실에서보은군민, 관내 교직원, 학생, 학부모 등 보은 교육공동체가 모인 가운데 보은군 교육발전방향 설명회를 개최했다. 

 설명회 1부에서는 <보은 교육발전 정책의 방향과 과제>를 주제로, 한국교육개발원 권순형 소장의 특강이 개최되었고, 2부에서는 보은군의 교육발전특구 추진방향에 대한 설명이 있었다. 이번 설명회는 보은군청의 교육발전특구 지정의 필요성에 따른 교육발전 방향에 대한 이해와 지역 주체들간의 연계 협력 차원에서 개최되었다. 

 보은군청은 지난 1월 학습지원협의회의를 시작으로 지역주민, 교육지원청과의 의견 수렴을 실시하였으며, 보은교육지원청은 4월 정책간담회와 주요업무보고를 거쳐 과제협의 및 교육부 자문위원회 컨설팅 등에 보은군청과 함께 참여하였다. 4월~5월에는 보은군 거주 주민을 대상으로 돌봄확대, 지역 특화산업, 디지털 교육 등 주민수요 요구 조사가 진행되어 최종 내용 보완을 해나가고 있으며, 2차 공모 기획안을 6월 말에 제출할 예정이다. 

  설명회에 앞서 보은교육지원청은 보은군청과 보은군의회, 한국농어촌공사보은지사, 충북대학교 농업생명환경대학, 유원대학교, 보은군기업인협의회, 보은산업단지입주기업체 협의회, ㈜한화보은사업장, ㈜우진플라임, 보은군학교‧학부모연합회, 보은군학교운영위원회위원장협의회 등 협의체가 모여 교육발전특구 지정을 통한 정주여건 개선과 지역인재 양성 사업 추진을 위한 협약식도 가졌다.   

 이은진 교육장은 “지자체‧교육청‧지역사회가 서로 협력하여 지역의 특색에 맞는 교육을 통해 지역 전체의 교육력을 높이고 정주 여건을 강화하기 위한 교육발전특구 사업 준비에 지금까지 협력해 온 것처럼 2차 기획안 공모 선정을 위해 적극적으로 동행하겠다. ”라고 밝혔다.

 한편, 보은군청은 교육개혁과제로 온누림 늘봄생태계 구축과 보은형 글로컬 지역인재 양성, 디지털 교육혁신 기반 학생 맞춤 교육지원, 지역산업과 연계한 맞춤 인재육성 등 4과제를 중심으로 전략을 제시하고 있다.

 교육발전특구 사업을 통해 안정적인 학습 여건을 조성하여 지역에 정주할 수 있는 생태계를 구축하고, 소규모 학급이 많은 보은 지역에 학교간 공동교육과정 운영, 보은 맞춤형 교육 플랫폼 운영 등 학령인구 유출 방지를 위한 공교육 강화 사업과 지역의 특화산업을 고도화한 교육을 통해 지역 산업 인재 양성을 세부 사업으로 추진할 예정이다.
