【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북도의회 정책복지위원회(위원장 이상식)는 6일 도의회 회의실에서 ‘충청북도 노인복지 증진 조례’ 제정을 위한 간담회를 개최했다.

김현문 의원(청주14) 주재로 진행된 간담회에는 충북지역 노인복지 관련 단체 및 충청북도 노인복지 부서 관계자 등이 참석해 충북 노인복지 정책 및 사업의 현황과 발전 방향을 모색했다.

간담회에서는 △노인복지 증진 조례 제정의 필요성 △도내 노인복지 환경 개선을 위한 단체별 지원 확대 방안 등 충북 노인복지 발전을 위한 다양한 의견들이 제시됐다.

김현문 의원은 도내 노인단체 구성원들의 노고에 감사를 표하며 “어르신들은 그동안 사회·경제적 은퇴 상황에서 복지서비스 등 지원 확대에 있어 적극적으로 목소리를 내지 못한 부분이 있었다”며 “이번 간담회를 통해 어르신들에게 필요한 지원과 복지정책 마련에 지속적으로 노력할 것”이라며 강조했다. 

김 의원은 이어 “향후 제정될 ‘충청북도 노인복지 증진 조례’를 비롯해 도내 어르신들의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 개선 방안 마련을 통해 어르신들이 존중받으며 우리 사회의 든든한 구성원으로 함께할 수 있도록 더욱 노력하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
