올해 공모는 주민주도형, 읍·면 자치계획형, 청소년참여형 등 3개 분야로 나누어 진행된다. 주민주도형은 총 5억 원 규모 내에서 1인당 1건, 사업당 최대 1억 원까지 제안이 가능하다. 최종 선정된 사업의 제안자에게는 괴산사랑상품권 5만 원이 지급된다. 읍·면 자치계획형은 읍·면별로 2천만 원, 이번에 신설된 청소년참여형은 총 5천만 원 이내로 추진될 예정이다.

제안 대상은 생활 불편 해소, 주민 복지 증진, 삶의 질 향상 등 다수의 주민이 혜택을 누릴 수 있는 공익성 사업이다. 다만 행사·축제성 사업이나 특정인에게 특혜가 돌아가는 사업, 이미 추진 중인 사업, 지속적인 운영비가 소요되는 사업 등은 제외된다.
