【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군이 어린이들의 건강한 식습관 형성과 지역 먹거리에 대한 올바른 이해를 돕기 위해 6월부터 관내 어린이집 및 유치원 원생을 대상으로 ‘옥천로컬푸드직매장 어린이 장보기 체험행사’를 운영한다.

군은 이번 체험을 통해 어린이들이 지역 농산물에 대한 관심과 이해를 높이는 것은 물론, 올바른 소비 습관을 형성하는 데도 긍정적인 효과를 거둘 것으로 기대하고 있다.

군 관계자는 어린 시절의 경험이 평생의 식습관 형성에 중요한 영향을 미치는 만큼, 아이들이 지역 농산물을 직접 만지고 경험하며 건강한 먹거리 문화와 지역 농업의 가치를 자연스럽게 배우는 계기가 되길 바란다고 전했다. 또한 앞으로도 다양한 먹거리 교육 프로그램을 지속적으로 추진하겠다는 뜻을 밝혔다.
