김 후보는 앞으로의 4년은 이러한 성과를 완성하는 시간이라며, 충북을 단순히 인공지능(AI)을 활용하는 지역을 넘어 AI를 직접 만들고 산업에 적용하는 대한민국 AI 실용 중심지로 육성하겠다는 포부를 밝혔다.  

이날 김 후보가 제시한 10대 핵심 공약에는 ▲AI충북특별도 ▲일하는복지·돈버는복지 기반 완전고용 충북 실현 ▲응급·필수의료 인력 전폭 지원 ▲오송 K-바이오스퀘어 조기 완성 ▲레이크파크 르네상스 2.0 및 관광객 1억 명 시대 개막 ▲돔구장 건설 및 프로야구단 유치 ▲청주국제공항 민간전용활주로 신설 ▲충북형 스마트팜 100개소 조성 ▲창업펀드 2000억 원 조성과 투자유치 200조 원 달성 ▲의료비 후불제 전면 확대 등이 포함됐다.  

특히 충주와 제천 등 북부권을 중심으로 하는 AI충북특별도를 약속하며, 기존의 바이오·반도체·이차전지 산업에 AI를 접목해 산업 전환을 선도하고 이 지역들을 데이터센터와 소프트웨어 산업의 거점으로 키우겠다고 강조했다.

문화·관광 분야에서는 레이크파크 르네상스 2.0을 통한 관광객 1억 명 시대 개막과 함께 돔구장 건설, 프로야구단 유치, 복합문화쇼핑공간 확충, 청주공항 민간전용 활주로 건설 등을 추진해 수도권에 가지 않고도 문화와 여가를 즐길 수 있는 환경을 만들겠다고 설명했다. 이를 통해 젊은 세대가 일자리와 문화시설 부족으로 지역을 떠나는 현실을 반드시 바로잡겠다고 덧붙였다.
