이번 행사는 지역 농산물 소비를 촉진하고 생산자와 소비자가 함께 상생하는 직거래 문화를 더욱 활성화하기 위해 마련됐다.

행사 당일 직매장을 방문하는 고객에게는 개장 7주년 기념 떡이 제공되며, 5만 원 이상 구매 고객에게는 선착순 500명 한정으로 유정란 6구를 사은품으로 증정한다.

이와 함께 직매장 내 위치한 뜰팡 카페에서는 커피류 음료를 15% 할인된 가격에 선보인다. 대파, 꿀, 토마토, 상추, 고구마 등 지역을 대표하는 농특산물 30여 개 품목에 대해서도 10~40% 할인 판매가 진행된다.

옥천로컬푸드직매장은 지난 2019년 개장한 이래 지역 농산물의 안정적인 판로 확대와 생산자·소비자 간 직거래 활성화에 기여해 왔으며, 현재는 옥천농협이 위탁을 받아 운영하고 있다.
