【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북교육감 후보 윤건영(사진)이 30일 충북 전역을 하나의 배움터로 연결하는 '온마을배움터' 확대 공약을 발표했다.

온마을배움터는 지역의 인적·물적 자원을 활용해 학생들에게 다양한 체험과 학습 기회를 제공하는 교육 모델로, 기존 행복교육지구의 한계를 극복하기 위해 2024년 조례 개정을 통해 충북 전체를 하나의 큰 교실로 확장하자는 구상이다.

이 공약의 핵심은 시·군별 특성을 반영한 교육·체험·기업·대학 간 협력 강화와 글로벌 인재 양성 프로그램 운영이다. 지역별 비전으로는 청주 미래교육수도 훈민정음도시, 충주 역사·미래창의교육 도시, 제천 바이오·미디어교육 도시, 진천 스포츠·미래교육 도시, 단양 유네스코·체험교육 도시, 보은 스마트농업·스포츠교육 도시, 옥천 예술·문예창작교육 도시, 음성 스마트농업·기업연계교육 도시, 괴산 예술·생태환경교육 도시, 증평 돌봄·놀이교육 도시 등을 제시했다.

운영 방식도 구체적으로 제시했다. 지역 어르신은 학생들의 생활 멘토로, 마을교육활동가는 방과후 프로그램과 돌봄활동에, 대학·기관·기업은 진로 체험과 학습 지원에 참여해 지역 전체가 교육 파트너 역할을 맡는다는 구상이다.

윤건영은 "온마을배움터는 단순한 체험 프로그램이 아니라 교육·돌봄·진로가 연결된 지역교육 생태계"라며 "지역이 살아야 학교가 살고, 학교가 살아야 지역도 살아난다는 철학을 충북 전역으로 확장해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
