【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=더불어민주당 충북도지사 신용한(사진) 후보가 6월 2일 선거를 하루 앞두고 도민에게 변화를 촉구하는 호소문을 발표했다.

신용한 후보는 선거 운동 기간 청주 골목, 충주·제천 전통시장, 단양 관광 명소, 보은·옥천·영동·괴산의 6차산업 현장, 진천·음성·증평 산업현장 등 충북 전역을 돌며 도민의 목소리를 직접 청취했다고 밝혔다. 

현장에서 만난 도민들은 "충북이 더 나아졌으면 좋겠다", "우리 아이들이 충북을 떠나지 않았으면 좋겠다", "정치보다 민생을 챙겨달라"는 바람을 전했다고 했다.

신용한 후보는 이번 선거를 단순한 단체장 교체가 아닌 충북의 방향을 결정하는 선택으로 규정했다. 대한민국 중심부에 위치한 지리적 강점을 살려 AI·반도체·바이오 산업을 이끄는 첨단산업 중심지로 성장시키고, 청년이 돌아오는 지역, 농촌과 도시가 함께 성장하는 충북을 만들겠다는 구상을 제시했다.

신용한 후보는 "도민 위에 군림하는 불통 도지사가 아니라 도민과 함께 일하는 봉사자가 되겠다"며 "이념을 넘어 실용으로, 정쟁을 넘어 민생으로, 말보다 결과로 평가받겠다"고 강조했다.
