【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군이 관내 음식점의 위생 수준 향상과 안전한 외식환경 조성을 위해 ‘2026년 주방위생환경 개선 지원사업’을 추진하고 있다.  

이번 사업은 장기화된 경기 침체로 인해 노후 시설 교체와 환경 개선에 어려움을 겪는 영세 외식업소의 경제적 부담을 덜어주고, 식중독 등 각종 식품 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 마련됐다.  

지원 대상은 진천군 관내에서 영업 중인 일반음식점 가운데 영업장 면적 150㎡ 이하이면서 영업 신고 후 2년 이상 경과한 업소다. 아울러 실질적인 지역 소상공인 지원이라는 취지에 맞춰 대표자의 주민등록상 주소지가 진천군인 경우에 한해 신청이 가능하다.  

선정된 업소에는 위생적인 영업환경을 조성할 수 있도록 시설 개선 비용이 지원된다. 주요 지원 내용은 ▲조리장 개선(환기시설, 벽면 등 찌든 때 제거 및 환경 정비) ▲객실 개선(노후 식탁·의자, 방충시설 교체) ▲소모품 교체(배수구, 하수구 등 위생시설 보수) 등이다.  

진천군은 이번 사업을 통해 음식점 위생 수준을 한 단계 높여 군민들이 안심하고 이용할 수 있는 외식환경을 만드는 한편, 지역 외식업의 경쟁력 향상에도 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.  사업 신청을 희망하는 업소는 오는 6월 12일까지 진천군청 홈페이지 공지사항에서 신청서류를 내려받아 작성한 뒤 방문 또는 우편으로 접수하면 된다.
