【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군이 귀농인 지원사업의 적정한 운영과 지원자금의 목적 외 사용 방지를 위해 ‘2026년 상반기 귀농인 지원사업 사후관리 실태점검’을 진행하고 있다.  

이번 점검은 지난 5월 26일 시작되어 이달 19일까지 이어지며, 2013년부터 현재까지 귀농 농업창업 및 주택구입 지원사업의 혜택을 받은 대상자 전원을 대상으로 실시된다.  군은 대상자별 사업장을 직접 방문해 실제 거주 여부, 농업 종사 여부, 사업계획 외 타 용도 전용 및 유용 여부 등을 중점적으로 확인할 계획이다. 귀농인 지원사업이 안정적인 농촌 정착과 영농 기반 마련을 지원하기 위한 취지인 만큼, 지원 목적에 맞는 운영 상태를 점검해 사업의 실효성과 신뢰성을 높인다는 방침이다.  

점검 결과 지원 취소 사유에 해당하는 위반 사항이 확인될 경우에는 해당 대상자에게 지원 제한 사실을 통지하고, 대출 취급기관에 지원자금 회수 조치를 안내하는 등 관련 규정에 따른 엄격한 행정조치를 진행할 예정이다.  

군 농촌지원과 관계자는 귀농인 지원사업이 본래 취지에 맞게 운영될 수 있도록 지속적인 사후관리를 실시하고 있다며, 지원사업의 공정성과 투명성을 높여 귀농인이 안정적으로 정착할 수 있는 환경을 조성해 나가겠다고 말했다.
